Relaxed, natural family photography at a small number of favourite Yorkshire locations – with 15 individually edited digital photographs included.
Simple Sessions are for families who would like beautiful, natural photographs without personal planning, a longer session or a viewing appointment afterwards.
The preparation and delivery are streamlined, but the approach to photographing your family remains calm, warm and people-first.
Simple by design
These sessions keep the practical side straightforward. You choose from a selection of dates and locations and receive a concise guide beforehand. Afterwards, you download a collection of the 15 strongest photographs, chosen and edited by me.
Keeping these sessions to selected weekdays and locations allows me to offer a complete digital collection at a lower price while still giving the photography proper care and attention.

Simple Family Sessions are £325. A £75 booking payment secures your session, with the balance of £250 payable on or before the day of the session.
WHAT THE SESSION FEELS LIKE
Shorter does not mean rushed or rigid. I’ll still guide you gently, allow everyone time to settle and adjust to the personalities and energy in front of me.
Children don’t need to sit still or smile on command. We’ll move, talk, play and make the most of the location. The aim is for the time together to feel natural and for the photographs to look like your family, rather than a set of poses.
DATES & LOCATIONS
Simple Sessions are available on selected weekdays at a small number of favourite locations around Bingley, Ilkley, Harrogate and nearby parts of Yorkshire.
Dates may be released in small groups or at particular times of year. Each booking will clearly show the location, available time and anything useful to know before you choose it.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION
I’ll choose the strongest 15 photographs and edit each one individually. Your finished images will be delivered within two weeks as digital downloads, ready to share.
There is no viewing appointment and no additional digital purchase to make. Optional prints may be ordered if you would like something tangible, but there is no obligation to do so.
A few practical questions

Perfect behaviour is never expected.
Children don’t need to sit still, smile on command or behave in a particular way. We’ll move, play and work with their energy on the day.
Simple Sessions are shorter than the Full Family Experience, but there is still time for everyone to settle in and for me to adapt as we go.

Yorkshire’s weather can be unpredictable, so we’ll keep an eye on the forecast and make a decision close to the session.
Cloud, light wind or an occasional light shower needn’t spoil the photographs. If the conditions genuinely aren’t suitable, however, we’ll rearrange. I don’t want you to spend the session feeling cold, uncomfortable or worrying about the rain.

The location is specified when each date is released, so you’ll know exactly where the session will take place before booking. If you would prefer an at-home session or somewhere chosen specifically for your family, the Full Family Experience will be a better fit.

Simple Sessions are intended for one immediate family. For grandparents, cousins or a larger family group, please ask about the Full Family Experience or a bespoke session.

You’ll receive a concise preparation guide with practical suggestions. The aim is to help everyone look coordinated without feeling matched or unlike themselves.
Muted colours, natural tones and a mixture of textures and layers usually work beautifully, but comfort and feeling like yourselves matter most. The guide will help you bring everything together without expecting everyone to look perfectly matched.

I select the finished collection for Simple Sessions. After the session, I’ll select the strongest 15 photographs and edit each one individually. This is part of what keeps the service streamlined and avoids asking you to choose from a larger proof gallery.
